Caring about Yourself

Let’s face it, we leave in a crazy, busy, messed up time when when everyone is stressed and tense. One look at the news or social media and we are suddenly defending ourselves and how we walk through life. Everyone has opinions and we all need to be heard. There are times when the outside world is a lot to handle. That is where self care comes in. We are told as a society that to put one’s self first is to be selfish or arrogant. However, we cannot help anyone until we help ourselves! I like to define self care as doing a deliberate action to oneself in order to balance the mind, body, and soul. This could be anything that helps you find rest and ease, security and safety, or bring in more confidence to yourself. Self care can also be anything the you find aesthetically pleasing to any of the five senses.
